THE DESK

Stephanie's role at the clinic

Stephanie Oelker is the clinic manager. She is the practical first stop if you are unsure who to ask for. Bookings, messages and the day itself run through her, so a visit does not collide with someone else’s hour.

No short biography has been supplied for this page., where she is from, how long she has managed the clinic, and what she wants patients to know are not guessed here.

What is clear from the role is the span of it: first message, the booking, the questions on the day, and follow-up if a plan needs another visit. The clinic is at 41, Triq Franġisk Żahra, Mellieħa, open Monday to Friday with hours that change by weekday, and closed on Saturday and Sunday.

If you are travelling from Gozo or fitting a visit around work, tell her your constraints when you enquire. She is the person who can see the diary. The therapists see the person in the room. Both matter, and they are not the same job.

WHAT TO ASK

How she can help you

You do not need the name of a treatment before you write. Describe what hurts or what you want to get back to. Stephanie can point the enquiry at the right person. An enquiry is not a diagnosis.

Choosing the right treatment

Pain, injury or a change in movement starts with Andrew, the lead physiotherapist. Tension, recovery, Lomi Lomi, sports massage, aromatherapy or reflexology can start with the massage team, Michael, Dagmara, Lara or Aleksandra, once you have said what you want. If Stephanie thinks the first booking should be an assessment, she will say so.

Booking and rescheduling

She keeps the diary. Ask for a named therapist, a day, and a time window. Hours are Monday 08:00–15:00, Tuesday 12:00–19:00, Wednesday 08:00–15:00, Thursday 12:00–19:00 and Friday 08:00–14:00. If you need to move a visit, contact the clinic rather than assuming the next slot is free.

Receipts for insurance

If you need a receipt or a letter, ask when you book so it is not a surprise at the desk. Do not assume every insurer accepts a clinic receipt.
